Prior to the maple merge, trunk had existing code from bug 703347 that added a textured background image layer "behind" webpages that was visible on over scroll and pinch-zoom. This should be hooked up again.
Editing bug, as that code is still run and the background does appear... But has disappeared on my Flyer recently. Conversely, I still see it on my Galaxy Nexus - this needs debugging.
Summary: Restore textured background image layer behind webpages → Textured background image sometimes disappears
Keywords: regression
This is likely a similar problem to bug 736177, and may depend on bug 728961.
I hadn't noticed the scroll indicators, nice find - I was thinking that, or GL driver bugs - I'll add bug 728961 as a blocker, though we may find a simpler fix before fixing that bug.
Depends on: 728961
I've actually never seen the background image on the Galaxy Nexus since the merge.

I don't think this is actually a dup of 728284

Bug 705246 disabled over-scroll, so there's nothing left do here.
