Deploystudio is up and running in scl3 but this still leaves the issue of dspc not working on install.build.releng.scl3.m.c.
DPSC does not work with lions implementation of smb/cifs and nfs is disabled in the dspc initrd pxe boot image.
One possible solution is to configure the initrd image to point to a linux smb/cifs share and simply have the image repository located on a linux vm with samba installed.
Another solution might be to hack the initrd image to enable nfs. I've already spent some time on this and it might be more labor work than its worth.

This is true. There are other options available.
a pxe boot clonezilla image comes to mind.

We'll be moving to controlling windows machines with the microsoft services (WDS/MDT/GPO) and linux machines (centos 6) with kickstart/puppet.
