739077 - Change of Mail storage directory not updated into data structures

Steps to reproduce:

Changed Mail storage directory


Actual results:

The Mail list didn't empty although the new directory contained nothing. 

I could download my mail new. (I had two of each mail in the list)

When i clicked on some mail, (no matter whether old or new), mozilla asked me to check the directory.


Expected results:

1. Better make that the list of mails gets emptied when you change the mail storage directory.
2. More important: fix the bug that the new incoming mails IMMEDIATELY begin to get stored in the new directory from then on (in the same runtime)

What do you call by "Mail storage directory?
Account Settings/Server Settings/Local Directoy:?

If yes, dup of bug 2654? See also bug 224831.

@ WADA Yes, it is!!!
Sorry, i searched only for >>Mail directory<< , because in Linux it is seemingly a mail directory only. Strangely though, at least the directory structures are at leat updated as far that the Program would try to search your Mail in the wrong directory (It is somewhat clear why this does happen).
Issuing a warning as suggested in 224831 would be enough.
