User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.162 Safari/535.19 Steps to reproduce: Windows 7 / Thunderbird 11.0.1 Workflow: 1.) Read new mail with attachment 2 [review].) Click on attachment saving in bottom bar 3.) Windows dialogue opens 4.) MOST IMPORTANT: change attachment name ! 5.) Click save 6.) Check folder => attachment cannot be opend due to missing extension This does NOT HAPPEN, when the attachment name stays unchanged and you only click save! Workaround 1: When changing the attachment file name while saving add the extension in the dialogue => e.g. attachment.pdf Workaround 2: Go to windows folder and manually add the extension
