Nightly/14.0a1 (2012-04-22) Device: HTC Desire Z OS: Android 2.3.3 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Fennec app. 2. Load a page with a text input field (Ex. mail.yahoo.com). 3. Select the input field and start typing something. Expected result: The text entered is properly displayed. Actual results: The text is displayed only after the second character, the forth, the sixth and so on is typed. Also, after all text entered is deleted using back space button the cursor is moved in the middle of the text field and if you enter new characters the typing starts from that point.
On the HTC Desire (Android 2.2), Samsung Galaxy S Captivate (Android 2.2) and HTC Desire Z ( Android 2.3) on twitter.com when entering letters in the name filed I am seeing the text jump right when entering a character and then back left when entering the next one and right again continuing the pattern. Please see http://youtu.be/8AA1UDohNSA. Also I am seeing different behavior depending if the text field is moved or not when the user starts to type. The behavior from the bug description happens for text fields that are scrolled while the behavior from this comment when the field is not moved. Issue may be related to the fix from Bug 732016.
This is basically a continuation of bug 735864, but with bug 732016, the behavior has changed.

Duplicate of bug 747680?
I believe that there are 2 separate issues with textfields. For bug 747680 there is the issue where the text is hidden if the textfield's position is moved by typing characters and there is the behavior described in Comment 1 with the text position jumping every time a character is typed.
It's the same issue if it's a regression from the say day.
