Mozillapopcorn.org is being refreshed for the Foundation summer campaign.  The current wordpress site is being replaced by a playdough-based site, the primary purpose of which is hosting the popcorn maker web app.

The tracking ticket for this work is 752383

The production server that is being created (750205) should resolve to mozillapopcorn.org, a Mozilla owned URL.

After some team discussion, we've decided to actually have the production server live at summer.mozillapopcorn.org for our summer campaign.  We would like to keep www.mozillapopcorn.org where it currently resolves.

Currently the mozillapopcorn.org DNS is hosted by mediatemple; I'm not sure if IT has access to changing any of the DNS details, but if not, Ben or I can add a DNS entry for summer.mozillapopcorn.org.

i have finished up the apache configuration changes needed for this product name change. since i don't have access to the DNS at mediatemple, can you please have the following entry added to the zone file there?

  summer    IN CNAME    generic.zlb.phx.mozilla.net.


unfortunately because we (mozilla.org) does not host this domain we cannot purchase ssl certificates for it. there are two ways to solve this (1) *the best option* transfer the domain to us or (2) generate/sign the ssl certificates and provide the key/cert to me so i can import it on our servers.

Hi, Chris.  We've taken the decision to stay on staging for the time being, while shipping a version of the product with a reduced scope on labs infrastructure.  We'll pick this ticket up or file again when that changes.  All of your work so far on this project is much appreciated!
