When loading up a fresh profile using the Dutch locale of Thunderbird, a (broken) Account Provisioner dialog appears, and we see this in the error console:

This is in the Error Console:

It looks like this is the problem:

(<a href="https://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/legal/privacy/" class="external"privacybeleid</a>)

The anchor is malformed (there should be a > before "privacybeleid").

I should point out that this is pretty critical, seeing as how the Account Provisioner dialog is the first thing that a user sees on a fresh profile.
Severity: normal → critical
It causes inability to create new accounts on a new TB install of the Dutch version (see bug 553772 comment 7).
I have tomorrow evening time to fix this, if somebody else can do this, please.
I am not sure when TB13.0 will be released (my understanding is today or tomorrow). You may want to want to get it into it, if that is even possible now...
fixed in beta: http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-beta/nl/rev/c73d223a9e74 but this is for 14, can somebody port this to release for 13? To bad that this bug is filed so late.....

Can the Dutch TB13 release be updated in some way? Or are Dutch users stuck with this until TB14?
I've got the same issue (13.0, Dutch version). I was just about to start using Thunderbird, but after the initial installation can't start using the damn application. What's the use of an email client without the possibility to add email accounts...

Is it possible to dismiss the window via the top-right cross button? Then, go into File->New->Existing account.
Mark Banner, David Bienvenu, what is needed to get this into a 13.0.1 release if it is done?

Yes, I think we would take this in a 13.0.1 release.
What needs to be done to get it merged there?
Do we know when a .0.1 release comes available? there are some dutch users waiting for the fix....

I know now how i missed this bug, when the strings landed in central i tested it. the windows looks fine (as far as i could see) only the buttons didn't work. At that time i thought it was because the function was just landed and same parts not ready yet. after that i didn't looked to it anymore in a test setup.
just tested the latest aurora version (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20120611 Thunderbird/15.0a2) with the same fixe and everything works ok
Tim, Thanks for fixing this. Sorry for the lack of communication, I was away at the back end of last week.

I've now landed the fix on mozilla-release:

http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-release/nl/rev/b07154d0e17b

We'll incorporate this into a 13.0.1 that we're expecting to release on or before Friday.

Great news. I'll check for updates and hope to start using Thunderbird shortly.
