Matt: we need to get xp and win7 32 on to ix-multinode-1-a and ix-multinode-1-b respectively. Both are on vlan40 so it should be easy to build and deploy the images via WDS. You should also give them static dhcp records and update inventory key/store with IP and fqdn for both systems.
Win7 32bit has been installed and is ready for releng to configure and test on it. The Windows XP machine requires a driver for the HDD to be loaded will investigate today and hopefully get that installed.

Which node is each OS on, and how should releng be connecting to these nodes?
The w7 node is installed and you can RDP to it as cltbld. The hostname is ix-multinode-1-b.winbuild.scl1.mozilla.com I have turned off the firewall on this node to make it easier to test things, but feel free to turn it back on if you need. Please keep exact track of any changes you make to get it working since we will then roll that back into scripts for WDS/MDT and/or GPO when it's time to join these machines to the new domain. The XP node is proving more problematic, and Matt is still looking for a driver for the disk. It may be that this is a good solution for linux and w7, but not xp, but matt has more research to do there.
As a note, there are two graphics cards in these machines, the onboard (which is used for IPMI) and the third party one that you should be using for testing. When running your tests, please make absolutely certain that they're using the proper graphics device and not the on-board card.

It may be that this is a good solution for linux and > w7, but not xp, but matt has more research to do there. We've decided to skip XP here (for now) and put win8 on this node. Note: We should still try to track down the driver for XP, as much as I love the idea of testing XP on rev3 minis in perpetuity. We can try XP again on this hardware once the first other OS (w7, linux64, linux32) are done.
changing the subject of the bug to reflect the new requirements.
Summary: deploy xp and win 7 32bit to ix-multinode-1-a and ix-multinode-1-b → deploy w8 and win 7 32bit to ix-multinode-1-a and ix-multinode-1-b
ix-mn-1-a.winbuild.scl1.mozilla.com is now running the latest release candidate for w8 and can be accessed via RDP.
