User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.5) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.5
Build ID: 20120531185831

Steps to reproduce:

I did a fresh install of my system, which is Windows XP SP3, and I installed the latest version of Firefox. Then I tried to get some add-ons. I opened Add-ons Manager, and typed some key words into the add-ons search bar.

Actual results:

What happened was that when I typed "plus" as a keyword, as I was trying to install Adblock Plus and Tab Mix Plus, both have "plus" in their name, the search results came with nothing but a dialogue saying "could not find any matching add-ons". Not only did the search bar on the Add-ons Manager not work, the search bar on the "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/" page not working either. Then I opened this page with IE, I search with "plus" as keyword again, it actually worked. I searched with some other keywords, it all worked with IE. I then uninstalled Firefox 13.0.1 and installed the ESR version, but it still did not work.

Expected results:

Search should have been working with Firefox.

CCing IT. We got a lot of tracebacks from ES, not sure if this is related.
This is because in Firefox the default is to only search for a certain operating system "("Works with"), while the results only show up if you select "All Systems".

This is true, but clicking on any OS gets you no results, even if it is compatible. I think you've found where the bug is though.
We were getting some strange errors (Numeric value (5368709080) out of range of int) and recreated the entire index. Seems to be working now. It's finishing fleshing out the rest of the data now. (this also means it's redoing stats again)

thanks for the report and thanks to cvan and jason for hanging out on a sunday morning :)
