User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0 Build ID: 20120808030529 Steps to reproduce: Allow me to apologise in advance as this is quite a lame bug filing, that said, it's annoying enough to get me to file a bug. If you enter lots of text in an input box in Firefox, Firefox begins eating the text should you attempt to edit it. Prior to this, you'd just stay away from Firefox for huge edits/walls of texts, but it's also appearing in smaller input boxes now as well. STR: 1. Go to new Google mobile search 2. Type three words and press enter/search 3. Attempt to delete middle word Actual results: WAH: 1. Searched 2. Allowed results to display 3. The word either won't delete or keeps duplicating itself Expected results: WSHH: 1. Searched 2. Allowed results to display 3. Edited search 4. Searched and allowed results to display again.

This works fine me on my Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.1.1), Nightly (09/09), stock Android IME. Which keyboard/device?
Component: General → Keyboards and IME
HTC One X (International/Endevoru) Stock Android 4.0.3 running Stock Sense 4.0 Swiftkey 3
Default keyboard make any difference, Swiftkey issue?
Looks like a case of both.
I'm definitely able to reproduce this issue, Firefox 15, Droid X, using Zimbra. Type one letter, any key you press after that will automatically begin filling in the first auto-complete suggestion until you hit backspace twice, then you can delete the content, and start over (for that word). Hit space and the cycle repeats.

Chris - would you like to dupe to bug 781020 or bug 780543? Would the patch in either help the situation, or do we need to do outreach to SwiftKey?
I've replicated this in Zimbra as per :tyler's description but using standard Android input and also with Google Japanese IME. Device: HTC Desire HD: Fox: Nightly Android: 2.3.5

Would the patch > in either help the situation, or do we need to do outreach to SwiftKey? Alex, I suspect this bug report is a combination of both bug 781020 and bug 780543. I will close this bug as a dupe of bug 780543 (which is no longer limited to just SwiftKey) unless someone thinks there is a difference.
