Just saw this in Daily on Thunderbird, on Windows 7 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Thunderbird/18.0a1) STR: 1) Select some text in an email 2) Deselect the text What happens (sometimes): A portion of the deselected text (or surrounding text) gets rendered in a way that is unreadable and strange. See screenshot. What's expected: Not that.

Sometimes I don't even need to select / deselect to trigger this. Scrolling can make it happen too.

The last good Thunderbird Daily was on September 16, 2012. First bad Daily was September 17, 2012. I'll see if I can generate a list of changes to mozilla-central during that time.

(In reply to Jeff Muizelaar [:jrmuizel] from comment #3) > I'm guessing this is bug 788794 That was a good guess. Backing out that patch locally fixed the issue for me. Marking as blocking 788794.
