User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1 Build ID: 20120905151427 Steps to reproduce: Sort messages by Tag. From app menu: View - Sort by - Grouped by sort. Actual results: Group by Tag only shows "Untagged Messages" as first level group and it can not be opened to show which messages are contained. Clicking the small arrow before group name has no effect. Other groupings work. Expected results: Several groups should have been shown for all used Tags.

If Tags are sorted DESCENDING, it recreates this problem! Ascending order gets grouped properly.

Descending sorted From and Subject columns result into unopenable groups.

Kari, thanks for testing the beta! were you using a litmus test? If you are using version 16, can this be reproduced in version 16?

Wayne Yes, I was runnig a litmus test (which I am not able to identify any more in Moztrap). And yes, it can be reproduced in 16.0.2. Hope this helps to locate the problem.
Fixed in Bug 1192838 and friends.
