This bug is to track the development and importing of the video snippets for the Social API launch.

There are comments on what the video snippets will be in bug 799738.
Whiteboard: [u=user c=admin p=2]
Chelsea is responsible for the snippets and Pascal is supporting from an L10N perspective. There will be too many video snippets to enter them manually into the admin area.

Video format should be webm, 270x480 pixels. We'll need to upload it to the video CDN; I'll look into getting access, and wenzel can do it in a pinch.
Depends on: 811533
Thanks folks. For this initial launch, lets limit this video to en-US and other English speaking locales.

I don't think we'll be able to get the video localized in time for the initial launch.

The video can be found on bug 811533 once completed. Please work with Rainer to get it in a snippetable format.
Here are the links to the 480x270 videos for the snippet

Do we have the copy for this snippet yet?
And an icon, too.
Alright, I talked with Winston and read some more bugs and cleared up some confusion I had about which type of video snippet we were referring to. It's my understanding that we want a video snippet with share controls similar to the Flicks snippet that went out earlier this week.

Given that, here's the final wishlist of things needed for this snippet:

- Text for snippet pre-video-launch, including which words to click to launch the video.
- Snippet icon graphic
- Text for the external link (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=677552, it's the "Visit firefoxflicks.org" part)
- External link URL
- mzl.la shortlink to the page that we want people to share (I imagine this will be the same as the external link as it will also have the video and we want people to share it)
- Sample tweet text (119 characters or fewer)

Once we have all that I can add the snippet on stage for previewing.

Graphics are in comments 44 and 45.

Indicated in the copy

> - External link URL
Tara, Laura do we want this to be our Facebook tab or Facebooks/

Once we know above, I'll get you the mzl.la link for this and the sample tweet.

> - Sample tweet text (119 characters or fewer)
Here's a sample tweet we're passing on to staff/reps that you can use:
Keep up with friends wherever you go on the Web with Facebook Messenger for Firefox. Add it to Firefox today!

I think we actually launched this snippet. I can't quite remember, but either way, we have a snippet template for video snippets now. So yay!
