The Marketplace does locale detection, and the consumer-facing pages also have a locale chooser in the "gear" menu. The developer pages have no such dropdown. Can/should we add one in preparation for localized devhub content? FWIW, we could borrow what AMO does. Please suggest what the UX for locale changes should be. Thanks!
I asked about this earlier and the conclusion I believe was that all the Language settings will be changed from the Account Settings page. 1) Go to https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/developers/ or https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/developers/submissions/ 2) Hover over your name http://cl.ly/image/2T1x0B2I3T1P/o and click "Account Settings" 3) You're taken to https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/settings where you change your locale I now realize that if you're not logged in, we don't expose the Language and Region settings (on consumer pages) which is quite problematic. 1) As an anonymous user go to https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/ 2) Click on the gear icon. 3) You're taken to https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/settings/feedback and no Account Settings are present.

I noticed that and was quite confused, no idea why the gear takes me to a feedback function.
Fred - the feedback is prominent to try and encourage users to give us feedback in this very early release. The feedback will likely grow less and less prominent as we move forward. I think we might need to show all three tabs even if the user is not signed in and have a call to action to sign them in under the "profile" and "apps" tabs. I feel like I've seen a bug on this but not sure...

A small comment on this. Most users who speak left-to-right languages are used to utility navigations being placed on the top-right corner of the page. Putting the language switcher there, or under a menu that’s located there, is a good idea.

This is almost a dupe of bug 811939.
In addition to doing what’s outlined on attachment 681082 [details] and unifying the header across Marketplace & Marketplace DevHub, the DevHub’s header is going to look a little different. Specifically, we’re going to remove the search bar, and have some additional menu items: * Design * Build * Publish * Partner (not available yet, see bug 798049 for update) * Sign in, or the gear icon
This is no longer an issue now that Account Settings are accessible from the new header (bug 822552), and bug 811939 will cover the anonymous case.
