Steps to reproduce:

Tried to reply to existing emails and tried to write new emails.


Actual results:

Thunderbird crashes and closes each time and the error reporting window opens, however on trying to send the error report I'm told it could not be sent for an unspecified reason.


Expected results:

It shouldn't have crashed!

very likely bug 785370. If you disablle quicktext addon does problem go away?

regarding inability to send the crash report, are you behind a proxy?

For future reference, when you are successful sending a crash report you willl want to see the help information at http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Mozilla-Crash-Reporter#w_viewing-crash-reports and find your crash ID(s), then post them for support to check them.

Now tested with the Quicktext addon disabled, and the problem has gone away.  

I am using a proxy, however this has never presented a problem before when the occasional crash has resulted in an error report being sent.
