2001052121 trunk linux Launch Mozilla. Open new window. Go to the first window. Open a bookmark in the sidebar. Results : url is opened in seconde window. Expected : url is opened in first window. Can reproduce with history entries.
Same with 2001052204 win98
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: PC → All
when I click on history entries, the page loads in the window to the right of the sidebar...isn't this correct behavior? I do not see entries being loaded into a second window... please re-test..
Retested with 2001052204 win98 : still the same. Just to be sure : you have to have 2 windows opened and try to open a bookmark/history entry in the first opened.
ok ay I see the problem....the key was having the second window open. good catch.
I can confirm the same problem with May 23 build 2001052304 under Win2000 (SP2).

From bug 82522 : clicking throbber has the same effect.
Comment from a user - this bug is pretty annoying. I usually browse with more than one window open, so this bug makes bookmarks unusable for me. Don't think there's much point releasing 0.9.1 with this bug in it. Good luck fixing it!

I'm upping severity since it makes the bookmark sidebar pretty useless when browsing with more than 1 window.

Happens on the following situation too... When using "File menu-> Open File..." to load an HTML file on the first browser window, the file is loaded on the second browser window instead.
