I have a few named tags and since the switch to bugzilla 4.2 I can no longer access them easily in the footer. I tried to look around to see if there was another simple way to access them but I wasn't able to find anything.

Are you using the Mozilla skin or are you using the default system skin (Dusk)? It is a known issue with regard to tags when using the Mozilla skin. Please make sure you are using the default system skin if you need the use of tags. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=settings dkl

I am using the default skin. The issue isn't about adding/removing. It is about reading the list. I can add/remove bugs from those lists.
