Tested on 2013-03-15 using Nightly built from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/0f7261e288f2 - While testing bug 831923 I noticed that I found myself tapping on the empty space in the Firefox Start page thinking that it would dismiss the url info bar. Instead I have to click on the focused tab in the strip or select a site tile for it to go away. Steps: 1. Open Firefox in Metro mode 2. Open a new tab 3. Click on the empty space (not a tile in the list of top sites, or bookmarks or history items) Expected: URL info bar is dismissed. Actual: Nothing happens. You need to select the focused tab, or ctrl-l to access the url location field. It just feels like it should work like that.

Yuan, Frank and I discussed this today, and when I tried it today the behavior is different and it is actually a works-for-me. Now when you are in a page, and you open a new tab, the tab strip (url info bar) appears briefly on top before being dismissed without having to do anything. So this is no longer an issue. I will mark as worksforme.
