When using Gmail, the touch screen to scroll through the inbox or even emails is not working. This makes it impossible to use Gmail in Firefox Metro.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1) Open Firefox Metro
2) Go to gmail.com and login into an account
3) Try touch scrolling through your inbox (make sure you have enough emails that you need to scroll through them)
4) Open an email and try touch scrolling through it (try opening a large email with a lot of replies)

Current Behavior:

- Currently the touch scrolling isn't working while inside your Gmail inbox or emails

Expected Behavior:

- Users should be able to scroll through their inbox & emails without issues
Story 831984 isn't completed yet, but I think we should create a simple story for this issue as Gmail is widely used.

Should this be blocking some bug, like 886321 to not be lost somewhere?
I think this got lost in the bugzilla ether, as comment 3 and comment 2 warned about. Marking this as blocking bug 886321

Sorry, but GMail is utterly unusable on Nightly for Metro right now, content disappears when scrolling, touches/clicks don't go where they're supposed to go and writing messages is almost undoable as the text position changes constantly.

I don't use gmail much so I'm probably not the best tester but I don't see the issues you list. For example:

1) scrolling a large list of email work
2) opening an email and scrolling it works
3) long press to check / bring up the context menu on an email works
4) left hand check boxes work
5) composing a basic text based email works

Two bugs I did find were with composition:

1) composition text body slides up too far when we shift to allow editing above the keyboard.
2) selection monocle support seems spotty in this text edit.

I can file bugs on these. If you have other issues, please file individual bugs.
filed two follow ups: bug 943069 and bug 943071.

I'm actually still having the scrolling issues with Gmail. When I try to scroll through a large list of emails, the screen will go completely blank. If I tap somewhere on the blank area, it will open an email and display it without any problems. Going back to the list will produce the same blank area again. If you close the tab and re-open Gmail, the emails re-appear but will disappear as soon as the user swipes.

I added a short video to illustrate the issue. Basically in the video:

- Swiped down and all the emails disappeared
- Taped somewhere in the blank area and it opened one of the emails that is not being displayed
- Taped the "back" button and received the same blank area where the emails should be listed
- Taped somewhere in the blank area and another email was opened

I'm not able to reproduce this on today's nightly on the carbon X1.
I can still reproduce the issue mentioned in comment #9 (same issue as the video). When I swipe down to scroll through the 100 emails, the entire area becomes "blank". If you tap anywhere on the blank area, you can still open the emails but they are not being listed. The only way to get the emails to list again is to close the entire tab and re-open Gmail.

I went through this again just to make sure its still an issue. The scrolling has improved greatly, but there's still some issues. At times, the top will be cut off as illustrated in the attachment. When this happens, scrolling and touch input will sometimes stop working.

I also ran into the original issue were everything was "blank" when scrolling, this is a lot harder to reproduce then it was originally.
