Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load the testcase.
2. Go to Pref menu.
3. Check / Uncheck "Use system color" checkbox in "Appearance -> Colors" panel.

Actual Results:  Table background color changed.  Reloading the page shows the
page normally.

Expected Results:  Table background color should remain the same after changing
settings in Pref menu, without reloading the page.

The behavior in build 2001103003 is the same as in 4.x, so I do not believe this 
is an issue any longer. When the attached testcase is displayed in the browser, 
I selected Edit|Preferences, select Appearance|Colors and selected 'Use my 
chosen colors, ignoring the colors specified.' Then selected OK, once the OK 
button was selected, the table background changed from the light yellow to my 
settings. This is the same behavior exhibited by 4.x and MSIE6.0. In MSIE, 
select Tools|Internet Options, then select Accessibility button and check the 
option Ignore colors specified on Web pages.

So, this is a. either fixed, or b. this was operating as described already. 
Changing the font does not result in any corruption of the background.
