As part of our ongoing Reader Mode refinements, we want to allow users to read multiple articles in a row without having to jump back and forth to their Reading list.

We'll do this by including links to the next 2 articles in the user's reading list at the end of the article they are reading. We can also include a shortcut back to their Reading List (in case those two articles aren't the ones they want to read), as well as a Share option (in case the article was interesting enough to warrant a quick tweet or email).

A mockup is attached to this bug, and some sample user flow animations are below:

- Next article http://cl.ly/image/1L3J1Z1k2S0a/o
- Back to reading list http://cl.ly/image/2V3l0f0I1C43/o
- Share http://cl.ly/image/3C0Z460B1Z0G/o

---

Not in scope for this bug, but worth thinking about as a near-future refinement: What does a user do with an article after it's been read? Would we allow them to archive it? Would we show an "unread / read" indicator?

Any chance this could be assigned to me?

(I'm currently working on feeding the article content in from aboutReader.js, might need some help with the html/css styling once I've got that working since I've not really done much in that area, but should hopefully be doable for me.)
This bug probably needs some design direction before we go ahead and implement this. The mockup from comment #0 is from a year ago. It looks good to me though. Anthony, thoughts?

How is this different from bug 750678? Can they be combined?

Andrzej, if you're looking for any other reader bugs to work on in the mean time, you should check out the dependencies off bug 917884. Bug 760554 is one that had some progress, but the person working on it disappeared, so maybe you would be interested in picking that up :)

Seems like a good start to me.

I am looking to some polish around the 2 list items at the bottom there. But I'd say we could start with the mock Ian has there for the time being and update the visuals as we wrap up the polish around those items in bug 1082110.

How's that sound Lucas?

Works for me ;-)

Andrzej, this means you can start working on a patch based on ibarlow's design.

Margaret, would you like to mentor this bug?

Also, investigate if this should be duped with bug 750678.
I don't think this should be a mentor bug. I think we need to let the dust settle on some of the latest reader mode designs.

Also, you're right, this looks like a dupe.

Hey, Francisco - looks like this one got closed.

It sounds like you're looking for a UI focused followup - perhaps bug 924461 (see comment 6) sounds good? If not, let me know.

Thanks Michael, will take a look!
