See bug 871961 comment 4 and 5. Looks like perhaps a line-height problem.

Resolving this as WFM, as I haven't specifically confirmed which bug is responsible, though I strongly suspect it's a result of the new test font landed in bug 916048. The old font had inconsistencies between the various font metrics in different 'sfnt' tables, which is probably what caused the platform-specific failure here.
