There's no way to pick and open multiple tabs. To achieve that now needs tap, tap, scroll, search, tap, wait, repeat.
Should we add swipe-selecting, checkboxes, something idiomatic for this?

Now that Bug 1014994 has landed, we have the Remote Tabs home panel. Said panel provides a context menu; you can "Open in New Tab" from there. It's not multiple tabs, but it's better (and loads tabs in the background).
No home panel currently provides a "multi select" action mode (such as ibarlow discussed at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=770735#c9), which is the most Android-y way to expose this. It's a great deal of engineering, however, for a small pay-off. I think we should evaluate the existing flow (long tap, tap for each tab) and possibly close this as WONTFIX.
