When I check the www connections coming out of my machine just after starting
Mozilla, I see the connection attempts to check the bookmarks. That is good.
But after a few minutes, there are less and less connections and it eventually
stops.

I have about 350 bookmarks. For testing, I ask to check them every 10mn. After
about 5mn, there are no more connections. Before, I asked for a check every 60mn
(more reasonable) and it stops after about 20mn.
I can confirm similar behaviour on Debian (woody) running Linux kernel 2.4.3.

Bug 107268 isn't identical on the specifics but seems similar enough and have
more attention than this one.
We can always reopened this bug if a fix on 170268 doesn't also solve it.

An update: This is still an issue. A new bug has been opened, bug 207814, to
track these problems. Nobody seems to work on bug 107268 anymore, the owner
wasn't even able to update the status fields. So, if anyone knows anything about
the bookmark schedule system, please take a look at that one.
