(Whiteboard: [waiting jenkins maintenance])

We'd love to have this:
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Timestamper

It adds a timestamp to all console logs!
Adding this requires a restart of Jenkins, which requires a 30 minute downtime

We'll try to bundle this with the next maintenance we have for Jenkins
Whiteboard: [waiting jenkins maintenance]
I've been looking into our build process and nearly filed an identical bug for this. I know we've restarted Jenkins a few times since then. Could we 'install' it so it's just pending a restart?

What's the likelihood of this causing issues with other jobs? The last few attempts to update or add additional plugins broke the majority of the builds
I don't have a great way to assess that with no staging Jenkins. The plugin has been actively developed for over a year (7 contributors), has a modest install base (5k+) with only 2 bugs in its 5 open issues (19 total issues). The impact of each open bug is limited to output of this plugin and does not appear to result from side effects or other plugin interactions.

This is developing into something of a priority. How can I shuffle this along?
I discussed with :jakem and we're going to schedule a maintenance for 12/9 @ 11AM PDT to do an install of this plugin and confirm it works

I'll be sending out the maintenance notification shortly
