Let's make the gloda facet view prettier. There are some obvious things we can do here, like using the same colors and fonts as the 3pane for consistency. I'm sure there are a ton of other tweaks we could make as well.

If things get too complex here, we can always turn this into a meta-bug and file dependent bugs for this. The first step is probably just to make some mockups to see what we can improve.

"Show results" almost always my next action after global search (where bug 549970 is somewhat related). And so in the wake of bug 1022228 it still bothers me that "show results as list" is so small, and thus deemphasized in the UI - we sometimes encounter users who don't recognized they can click on this. (related, some people might like this as a default, which is Bug 580252 - [Faceted Search]: Option to make "Open as List" view the default view - although I don't know how we would do that and still preserve facet as a choice.)

Can we make in incremental change to bring greater visibility to this UI element?

Maybe we could convert this into a [meta] bug and have all those similar bugs be blockers of this.
I'd like to refresh this UI entirely but I don't think I'll have any capacity before the release of 91.
I can circle back to this after that.
