The issue
Now that Australis has landed in Firefox, we should make sure Thunderbird matches it as much as possible. In particular, on Linux at least, the border at the bottom of the tab bar is a bit different. See the screenshot.

Definitely would be a good thing for platform consistency. Making this a meta bug... Will file a bug on your specific issue.

I think this can be closed. TB 31 should have everything tab related what FX 31 has. Other things like the menu panel or the customization are to big to implement for a contributor and not similar applicable (the panel) for TB.
