Description: When the user selects to import Facebook (Gmail/Hotmail) contacts during FTE, log-in screen is displayed incorrectly - FTE Back/Next buttons are shown cut off in the bottom of the screen. Also noticed that when launched Contacts app, a status bar is not displayed. I was able to get this issue to occur on Buri v1.3. I came across it when adding Facebook and Twitter to homescreen from e.me. After launching the apps and then logging in to a valid account, there will be a slight cut off near the bottom of the apps. Repro Steps: 1) Updated Buri to v1.3 mozRIL BuildID: 20131212004003 2) Add Facebook or Twitter to homescreen from e.me 3) Launch app from homescreen 4) Log into account Actual: Display is cut off at the bottom of the screen Expected: Display is not cut off at the bottom of the screen Environmental Variables: Device: Buri v1.3 mozRIL BuildID: 20131212004003 Gaia: 588a3e02c4ace3b3341ba1f6bb7274120b53b2b3 Gecko: 031270be3702 Version: 28.0a2
In addition: importing contacts during FTE causes other UI issues in Contacts - when sending SMS from contact details there is overlapping in the status bar area - see screenshot. This issue doesn't occur if contacts were not imported during FTE.
It looks like rebooting the devices seems to be a workaround for the issues with certain apps displaying with no notification bar at the top of the screen. I think this may cause other issue, like when adding another call while already in a call, the bar at the bottom is cut off. See attached: "no bar at the bottom while in active call"

What's the needinfo for?

We are seeing different symptoms here which might be caused by the same root cause and might be separate bugs as well. comment 3 and comment 4: It is clear that something is going on with Contacts UI, as it is shifted up and while performing different operations (sending SMS from contact details, adding another caller from Contacts list) it creates a bad look either at the status bar area or at the bottom of the screen... Adding regressionwindow-wanted, it's definitely a regression. A hint for QA when working on regression range - flash device--> reset--> open Contacts app--> see if the status bar is visible while in Contacts, if it's not visible means you are hitting a bug. comment 0 and comment 2 - possibly a different issue (if not two different issues)
Mentioned in IRC - split this bug out into separate problems and close this bug out.
