User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140204225200 Steps to reproduce: Sometimes, it happens to receive unwanted calls, by marketing call center or unwanted people. Actual results: I can only manually reject or ignore the call. Expected results: Dialer should provide a blacklist to automatically deal with unwanted call, with a way to save/import the blacklist like an Adblock rule on Firefox browser. If a number is added to blacklist, at the next call Dialer should terminate the call (default behavior) or, if the user activated call transfer, ignore the call putting a notification in the notification center but not showing anything in the main screen (or not showing anything at all, we like choices); this makes harder to caller know if there's a person behind the number, if the person don't close the call, and gives the user a way to receive other calls when the unwanted caller is still calling. If the number isn't in blacklist, the interface should display a button to block the caller and then follow the blacklist chosen behavior (block or ignore | first case Dialer will disappear, second case the call will go as a notify to the notification center). Just a little sketch of blacklist options: Blacklist's call behavior ( ) Block call ( ) Ignore call [ ] Show call notify in notf. center ( ) are radio button, [ ] is a check button.

This is a similar request to bug 804602. I think we should have some sort of black listing feature. needinfoing Wilfred from product to track this.

I thinks this is something we'd want so confirming it. One thing to consider is that if we implement something like this it should also work for SMS thus requiring some inter-app functionality.

Hi Svelto, I think it would be better if we do the inter-app functionality in separate bug or we may change the description of the bug.

I've filed meta bug 1133501 for tracking this and other dependencies. Let's move the high-level discussion there and leave this bugs for implementation details specific to the dialer.
