From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.2)
Gecko/20010726 Netscape6/6.1
BuildID:

the dropdown lists are not working and the default value for the dropdown boxes
is also not set.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
load the above url.
click on the dropdown list to the right with text "IHR EINSATZ "

Actual Results: the dropdown does not show up

Expected Results: expect to see the dropdown list
adding the topembed keyword
Keywords: topembed
The dropdown lists are working *partially*. If I click on the lower box, the
list is displayed at the top left corner of the page, right below the site logo.
I can choose a value which closes the dropdown list.

A lot of JScript on this site is messed up, e.g. misplaced popups when you hover
over the tiny icons ("Forum", "Mobil", "Video", "Shop" etc.)

This page even looks horrible on NS4 if you have large fonts turned on.

Dropdown lists and JScript are working now...

Works for me. with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4)
Gecko/20011019 Netscape6/6.2

Resolving WFM.
Re-opening. The original problem still exists on the page.

At the top of the light blue section on the right (WETTEN) is the selectbox
area. Clicking on either of those two select boxes don't work.

<ilayer ID="POR2dm"><b ID="POR2dmO"></b></ilayer><img SRC="/t.gif" WIDTH=1
HEIGHT=1></td><td ALIGN=RIGHT VALIGN=TOP WIDTH=89><a
HREF="JavaScript:OR2AufDM()"><img
SRC="/coremedia/generator/Technik/www.sport1.de/img/sponsor/oddset/selektor,property=original.gif"
WIDTH="17" HEIGHT="14"
BORDER=0></a></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></td></tr><tr><td VALIGN=BOTTOM
HEIGHT=14 CLASS="fz">M&Ouml;GL. GEWINN:</td></tr><tr><td VALIGN=TOP
HEIGHT=15><ilayer ID="POR2gw"><b ID="POR2gwO"></b></ilayer>
<SNIP/>
function OR2AufDM(){ layOR2seldm.show();}

The ilayer is ignored and so is the ID attribute it contains. Even if we did
recognize the ilayer and it's ID, the JS code they are using to display the
ilayer wouldn't work in Moz/NS6.

renders decently with NS62. Scrolling widgets are ok.
But moz 096 is still not good. Too bad they don't sniff it properly.

Should suggest them to read the excellent article from Aruner.

I see no dropdowns, though I do see soem ilayers. They check for gecko now.
Anyone seeing any issues?

I have taken a look with the RC3 on the web page. There is still a problem on
the page. After the top news, there are three boxes: news,live and
TV-Highlights. The Live ticker is not working. There should be some content in
there about live sport results. Also the scroll arrows should work. Besides
that, I havnt't seen anything wrong.
Have the same problem with the aa website. Dropdowns appear but without any data.

Goto www.theaa.com and select AA Services tab. Click the home insurance tab and
then work your way through the pages. When you get to the "About You" page the
drop downs for your employment show "Please select" but thats it (apart from
empty lines).

Checked with IE6 and the page works fine. Thie is using the latest 1.1a (just
downloaded) build - 2002061104.
All of the problems found in the comments on the sport1 site now WFM on
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910.

However, I'm not able to reproduce the error in comment #21 (which does not
belong on this bug at all). This because of the fact that I'm unable to come up
with a correct postal code. Could someone please open a new bug with this issue
(if the problem is still there) and attach some decent test data. There is a
report on a different theaa.com issue in bug #149610.

Summary: I suggest we close this bug with WFM and open a new bug with the AA issue.
The original problem is gone somehow - I don't see any comboboxes any more on
that page and the problems reported in comment #21 seem to be corrected now: the
live ticker is filled with data and I can scroll through the results - BUT
nevertheless there are two additional issues on that page:

(1) the flash sequence labled "Werbung" is beeing overlapped by the top news -
viewing the page with MSIE this problem does not occur

(2) if I hover over the small icons in the top news (TV, "T", "F", "Cell Phone",
"W" and "G") a popup appears, but in the upper left corner - using MSIE you can
see, that the location of the popup is obviously intended to be right hand of
the small icons... This problem also occours when "hovering" over all other
icons mentioned above with the result, that mozilla locates the popup always in
the upper left corner of the related frame... The problem with these icons has
been already mentioned in comment #2

IMHO these two points are not related to the original bug so a new bug should be
filed?
Well it seems we're having some more problems on this page: if you check this link

http://www.sport1.de/coremedia/generator/www.sport1.de/Sportarten/Fussball/Main.html

you'll see that the content of the live ticker is located in the box above which
is labeled "Kooperation"...

And this link here looks even worser:

http://www.sport1.de/coremedia/generator/www.sport1.de/Sportarten/Fussball/Bundesliga/Main.html

The table labeled "ran Daten Tabelle" is empty, but the content is located in
the box labeled "ran Daten Ergebnisse" and overlaps with the original content.
Additionally the box where the gameday can be chosen (box "Spieltage") looks
very bad.

I can add additionally two screen shots showing how mozilla and IE differ
displaying this site, but I think the probelms are obvious...
I do not expreience the problem with the Werbung flash sequence as described in
comment #24. However, the problems with the popup at the icons is still there
and I do experence the problems as described in comment #25 as well.

So I guess there is still some issues to take care of at that web site.
