[UX] Australis - Redesign Edit Bookmark panel
We should redesign the Edit Bookmark panel as shown in http://people.mozilla.org/~shorlander/mockups-interactive/australis-interactive-mockups/windows8.html
Do you mean implement the bookmark panel design changes illustrated in that mockup?
There are definitely style changes to update -- but I think we should make a decision about (a) should we just show a version of this on bookmarking (not a second click) (b) that changes probably involves not having done/cancel so it can be transient
OK - so I'm hijacking this bug to additionally design the changes in comment 2.

Marco, I might be wrong, but I think UX is already addressed by : http://people.mozilla.org/~shorlander/mockups-interactive/australis-interactive-mockups/windows8.html
The [ux] tag was requested during a desktop estimation meeting.
http://people.mozilla.org/~zfang/Others/EditButton.jpg Just saw this mockup, I think the idea is nice but it has issues : - You might just want to bookmark things quickly, I don't think people will like dismissing the popup each time they bookmark something quickly. - Why hide Tags ? It's not frequently used, but it doesn't waste much space either. - I don't think we'd like to see Page Bookmarked ! the second time you edit it. Plus, this bug was originally about using the Australis styling on the bookmark panel. So that should be done as well.
The attached mock-up shows the design proposal: • The star UI panel shows up first time user click on the star to bookmark a page • The panel goes away after few seconds if user don't interact with the panel, clicking outside the panel also dismiss it • Moved the "remove bookmarks" down and replace the cancel button • Changed the copy on top to "Page bookmarked!" • Use the Australis styling as shown in shorlander's URL: http://people.mozilla.org/~shorlander/mockups-interactive/australis-interactive-mockups/osx.html (Thanks Tim for pointing that out) After some discussion, the UX team agrees that this is a good starting point. We can then figure out whether we should hide "Tags" or hide the "done" control afterwards.
oops. This one is the correct one.
