User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140305170806 Steps to reproduce: I tried to find my App "Birdgames" within the Marketplace here in Germany: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/birdgames/ https://marketplace.firefox.com/search?q=birdgames Actual results: Both links do not work. The direct link shows "The app requested is not available for your region." The search query says "No results found". Expected results: The App should be accessible within both ways, because I've selected "Make my app available in most regions" (which includes Germany). Also the App is reviewed and the status is "public". Probably it's a location-specific problem.

(In reply to Andrew Williamson [:eviljeff] from comment #1) > possible dupe of bug 958319 Or rather a bug caused by the fix in bug 958319

I see that the ratings have been very recently attained (March 6th). Before, the app was excluded from Germany because it was an unrated game. Now that it has been rated, it may take sometime for our cache to clear and have it become un-excluded. Sorry for the inconvenience, it should show within the day. If it doesn't show within a day or so, I'll be sure to take a closer look.

Okay, I'll wait some time. But do you really think the rating is the problem? (I reported the problem immediately because I thought it's not related to the content rating.) This app also has no rating yet: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/nycweather But the app is fully available at my location. Let me cite two E-Mails: Firefox Marketplace Apps Team / 2014-01-21 > Attention App Developers: Firefox is implementing a content rating system for all apps on the Firefox Marketplace. If your app does not have an IARC rating by April 15, 2014, we will remove your app from Marketplace. To find out more please visit https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Marketplace/Submission/Rating_Your_Content . Firefox Marketplace Apps Team / 2014-02-25 > Time is running out to prevent your app from being removed from Firefox Marketplace. > > If your app does not have an IARC rating by April 15th 2014, we will remove your app. It's never mentioned that apps without a content rating will be hidden in some countries. Either "Birdgames" is hidden wrongly or "NyCWeather" is shown wrongly. Please correct me if I'm wrong about that ;).

(In reply to Andrew Williamson [:eviljeff] from comment #5) > Games (in Germany) are different. These apps are examples for games without age rating that are available here in Germany: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/zombie-apocalypse https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/aircombat https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/penguin-pop (In reply to Kevin Ngo [:ngoke] from comment #3) > If it doesn't show within a day or so, I'll be sure to take a closer look. I wanted to wait a week first, but then the app got available - exactly as you said. I think it was Friday. But now the app is gone again?! PS: Is it okay if I reopen a bug if I strongly belief it should be open again or should I only comment and leave it closed and wait for someone else to reopen it?

At first (quick) glance it looks like leftover exclusions from the old system that shouldn't be there anymore ; the content ratings are correctly set, but there is an exclusion for "de" that shouldn't be here. Alexander: you could try unchecking "Make my app available in most regions" radio button, saving, and then checking it back and saving again as a workaround, I think that'd work, although I'm no expect in content ratings/region code. Report here if that works (need 10 minutes or so to clear the cache) If that works, don't close the bug, we definitely need to take a closer look, there might be more apps affected.

I'm thinking we should remove AddonExcludedRegions for Brazil + Germany for all apps that have only AddonExcludedRegions for Brazil + Germany (meaning they were probably region-excluded by the system and not by the user).

Maybe, yeah. I guess you could add a "and that is in the games category" to that query. I'd be curious to know how many apps there are, though.

STR: 1. Go to app detail page in Germany/Spain for a game that used to be disabled via AERs but has since gotten ratings (maybe birdgames on stage). Expected: 200, OK Actual: Not available in region.
