Since my previous patch bug 1083391 was changed, which I think makes this test more reliable, so I am going to revert the change which added the unnecessary setTimeout now.

Bug 1009340 removing the panel.hide() tests for a panel using chrome b/c it intermittently times out a=me
I was able to reproduce this about 50% of the time on linux with travis.. I just removed the "hide" related code because the test wasn't really meant to test the panel module's hide handle (it apparently works most of the time), but rather that the panel module can show a chrome uri.

This seems to work now.
