User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2062.103 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Enable e10s.
Wacthed this video: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pep-pretty-easy-privacy

Actual results:

Firefox crashed with black screens. Can't close FF after that. Need to kill it.

Expected results:

Run normally.
Name: Firefox
Version: 35.0a1
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
Multiprocess Windows: 1/1

On Mac with e10s, I get sound but no video (only black screen were the video should be). The browser doesn't crash. Same goes if viewing the video on youtube (player is HTML5 version).

On Mac without e10s, I get both sound and video, playback as expected.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0

Video and audio worked perfectly, however, when tab was closed before the video finished, the audio continued playing and the browser became unresponsive. Even after closing the browser the audio was still playing. I had to kill the plugin-container.exe *32 process in order to halt the audio.
I could reproduce this bug with

User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
browser.sessionstore.upgradeBackup.latestBuildID	20140911064110

Both audio and video worked fine with me but when it get finished, the browser became unresponsive. Even after closing the browser the audio was still playing.
This may be a dup of Bug 1067002... don't know yet. I'm keeping them separate to make sure that both STRs are repaired.
Summary: Firefox crashed after watching a video with e10s → [E10S] Firefox crashed after watching a video with e10s
Whiteboard: [bugday-20140922]
Again, I was watching this video https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/wedg-the-personal-cloud-you-ve-been-waiting-for and FF stop working, the sound kept playing, but all tabs became black. I wasn't able to close FF, wasn't able reload pages. I only could change between tabs, but they aren't responding.

I was forced to kill FF, and after kill the sound kept playing.

Nightly 35.0a1 (2014-09-23)
Windows 8.1
NEW based on user comments
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: Untriaged → Video/Audio
Ever confirmed: true
Product: Firefox → Core
Using the nightly binaries, I have been able to confirm that this issue was fixed on Mac... apparently by the patch in bug 1064847. That patch is Mac only so it can't have addressed the Windows issue but I can not reproduce the windows issue on trunk while I can reproduce it with the Sept. 16th nightly binary.

In other words, this works for me.

Just a note:
On Windows 8.1, I am able to reproduce the issue 100% of the time on the Sept 16 nightly but I have not seen it on the Sept 23 nightly, as suggested in Comment 7.

I still have this bug. It's really annoying.
Actually it's related with #1068911, that is duplicate of this bug.

I can reproduce under OpenSuse 13.1 too. With Nightly e10s.
I can't use Nightly with e10s anymore. On openSuse when I change tabs I only get black screens for 2-3 seconds.
Build 35.0a1 (2014-10-07) e10s is crashing again while watching videos on YouTube.
This is actually not a duplicate of Bug 1068911 -- this is a (content process) crash bug where that bug is about a brief (content process) hang. alexandrevicenzi's initial issue (the hang) seems to be bug 1068911, which is being resolved with Bug 1049551. In comment 15, alexandrevicenzi, you say that it has started crashing on one of your machines. If this is still the case, please open a new bug describing the behavior and the steps-to-reproduce. If you believe you haven't seen it before, try to mention approximately when you think it may have started -- that can be a huge help.

Restoring WORKSFORME.
