Aside from the "Log parsing status: pending" content in the bottom-left-bottom panel (which is cool) without reading that the user may hover over the structured log icon in the job panel to determine if the log is available. It occurred to me we might be able to draw a variant of the structured log icon when the job panel loads, to communicate that state in advance. Perhaps the same glyph with a strike through, or something. The structured log tooltip knows the state when the job panel loads, eg. "Log parsing in progress". So perhaps we could do the same with the icon. This would prevent the user from hovering over the structured log icon to only then discover it isn't available.
A note that classifcation > save will likely dim its menu block as a UI cue, per bug 1074939 so we could consider similar here if it works against the darker boundary of the job panel.
