We recently wrapped up a round of user testing where participants tested a prototype of a new search UI for MDN (aka "Command & Query). 

This is a tracking bug for recommendations that were a result of this testing.

This is how I would prioritize, barring any implementation and/or scope issues:

BLOCKING LAUNCH
1. Bug 1182344 reflect search entry (filters and keywords) on search results page
2. Bug 1182341 Identify search field with a magnifying icon at start of field
3. Bug 1182349 add a tool tip for first time users to identify and describe the value of the new search UI
4. Bug 1182339 do not allow user's search history to be displayed when using search field on MDN
5. Bug 1182351 once user enters single search term or single filter, change instructional text in field

NOT BLOCKING LAUNCH
6. Bug 1182346 remove doc icon for small-medium viewport sizes on search results page (not blocker)
