1242359 - Navigating back from search does not redirect correctly

Steps to reproduce:
1.In “Dev Web Apps” navigate to an app with video content and press “OK”(“Enter” key on the keyboard).
2.In app content go to search icon and press “OK”(“Enter” key on the keyboard).
3.Press “Back”(“Esc” key on the keyboard)

Expected results:
User should go back to app detail page.

Actual results:
User lands on “Dev Web Apps” page.

Note/Issues:
Environment: 2.5 Simulator.
This issue is reproducing in -dev server.

Can we confirm that "Back" takes you to the right place, regardless of whether you're one or several pages deep within the context of a website?

TV optimize websites implemented their back navigation by listening esc and backspace key. It works well if you try to press backspace instead of esc to back. However, it's a bug and that will be addressed in bug 1238870.


Note that I found that press back button (backspace) inside input field in search dialog will dismiss all dialog instead of deleting a character. It's a bug for that website since key behaviors can be implemented by website itself (and they did. ex: ieducation)

The latter issue sounds like something that only exists when the user uses a physical keyboard (i.e. not the on-screen keyboard). At least that's what it seems like using the simulator. Is that the case?

Problem was resolved in bug 1238870 and verified locally.
