.4 .2 of the Loop system add-on to the release population (via update mechanism)
Suggested release notes: - Fix some issues relating to reliability when connecting.
1.4.x is the latest release series of the Loop system add-on. We want to ship it to the release population for updating them with the latest version of Hello. Current suggested release notes in the user story. This bug is for tracking the patches, xpis & the work. Firefox 47 (release) currently has version 1.3.2 of the add-on. The version for this release is 1.4.x
Release Note Request (optional, but appreciated) [Why is this notable]: Hello 1.4.2 live update on 47 (release channel) [Suggested wording]: Fix some issues relating to reliability when connecting [Links (documentation, blog post, etc)]:
The try push in comment 2 is with the patches from the three bugs (for 1.4.0, 1.4.1 and 1.4.2) applied, to make sure we don't hit issues in 47.
The try push looks good as far as I can tell. I'm now proceeding with getting the xpis signed and staged. Hopefully tomorrow evening.
The xpis are now on the release-sysaddon channel for QA testing. They will only be applied to 47.0.1 builds.
We verified that the update on release-sysaddon is done successfully and also did regression testing on Hello version 1.4.2 across platforms with no major issues found.
This is now rolling out at 20% throttle as of yesterday.
Summary: Ship 1.4.x of the Loop system add-on to the release population (via update mechanism) → Ship 1.4.2 of the Loop system add-on to the release population (via update mechanism)
This was increased to 100% as of Monday. Though note that 47.0.1 only went out to a few users. Marking as fixed. I've requested approval-mozilla-release on the sub-bugs to land the patches in case there is another dot release of 47.
