[Affected platforms]:
- Windows 8.1 

[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Launch Firefox
2. Go to https://opentokrtc.com/ (or to https://appear.in/) and enter in a call
3. Unplug the microphone (or the webcam, if you use the webcam's microphone)
4. Connect back the microphone 
5. Restart the browser in order to reestablish the call

[Expected result]:
- The connection is restored and no crashes are recorded

[Actual result]:
- [step4] The connection can't be restored even after refresh
- [step5] The browser doesn't restart, but after several minutes it crashes (Mozilla Crash Reporter shows up)

[Regression range]:
- I will investigate this as soon as possible
