User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0
Build ID: 20160920120323
Steps to reproduce:
Since version 45.7 I don't get the reason of POP3 errors, for example if password is incorrect, etc. Using Outlook, the same server (Yahoo) shows the message.
Actual results:
"Error when sending password. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com answered:"
Expected results:
Before this version I could see something like this:
"Error when sending password. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com answered: wrong username or password"

Works for me in TB 45.7, sorry about the Spanish:
El envío de la contraseña para el usuario xxx@yyy.com no se completó con éxito. El servidor de correo mail.your-server.de respondió: failed: Re-Authentication Failure

See bug 1337788 attachment 8834908 [details] where someone shows this working with 45.7.1.

Freaky are you still seeing this?

Yes, I still have the problem... no info about the reason of the error.
Just tried it out by changing a yahoo-POP3-Password to a wrong one
After updating to the newest TB 52.0 I can see the error messages again!
Although the error message is not correct... after changing the correct password to a wrong one, the message I get is:
"Server error - please try again later."
But I think that this should be a "bug" on the side of Yahoo.
