In https://mail.mozilla.org/pipermail/sync-dev/2017-April/001535.html, Nick suggested graveyarding the "Android Background Services" component, and merging the remaining open bugs into "Firefox for Android".
From the discussion it looks like more details are forthcoming? Closed bugs will stay in the graveyarded-component?
Nick, which would you prefer?
(In reply to Kit Cambridge (he/him) [:kitcambridge] (UTC-8) from comment #2) > Nick, which would you prefer? Are the options: 1a) move open tickets to Firefox for Android :: Sync 1b) move closed tickets to Graveyard and 2a) move open tickets to Firefox for Android :: Sync 2b) move closed tickets to Firefox for Android :: Sync I think I prefer the latter: all of the work of Android Background Services was in service of Fennec, so there's no advantage to hiding a bunch of completed or currently irrelevant work in a non-obvious location. rnewman, do you care?
Option 2 would make it simpler to gather context around stuff, and so I'd much prefer it.
Option 2 is much easier for me to do as well. Kit, may I proceed moving all bugs from "Android Background Services" to "Firefox for Android :: Sync"?

This is blocked on bug 1361184 because the milestones and versions between the two products are different. For instance, there is 'Firefox 52' in Android Background Services, but '52 Branch' in Firefox for Android. Meanwhile, milestones are 'mozilla52' vs 'Firefox 52'. I'm assuming it is okay for Android Background Services to adopt the format currently used in in Firefox for Android, so that is what I'll do once bug 1361184 is done.

These are the fields preventing movecomponent.pl from operating: 'Firefox for Android' is missing the following version(s): Firefox 23 Firefox 22 Firefox 25 Firefox 24 Firefox 26 Firefox 27 Firefox 29 Firefox 30 Firefox 31 Firefox 28 Firefox 32 Firefox 33 Firefox 34 Firefox 35 Firefox 36 Firefox 39 Firefox 38 Firefox 40 Firefox 41 Firefox 46 Firefox 51 Firefox 45 Firefox 47 Firefox 48 Firefox 49 Firefox 42 Firefox 44 Firefox 53 Firefox 54 Firefox 55 Firefox 57 'Firefox for Android' is missing the following milestone(s): mozilla16 mozilla14 mozilla15 mozilla13 mozilla12 mozilla18 mozilla17 mozilla19 mozilla20 mozilla21 mozilla22
I'll add these in. But I have to nudge people on these old milestones.
Added in versions and milestones.
Dylan, can you try again?
