So my friend's address book got totally corrupted (through no fault of mozilla, his system locked up and wrote garbage to the last 80% of the file) but mozilla silently stopped showing the address book in the panel. we ended up hand-editing the file, and removed the 100k of random characters, leaving the main morkdb and about 10 journalled entries.. I think that mork (or the consumer of mork) should make a better attempt to salvage this file... for instance, if mork encounters a good version string, and a good dictionary, and maybe even a few good journal entries, mozilla should just read as many good journal entries as possible, and rewrite the file with what it has. This would also handle the case of a file being prematurely truncated, etc.
mass re-assign.

I see a lot of dupes, ending five years ago. OTOH my address book is not corrupt AFAICT, and I don't want to make it so in order to test this bug. Is someone still seeing this, and on which Sm version?
