146145 - Failure to post newsgroup message shows cryptic message

build 2002052107/linux: I try to post an article to netscape.public.dev.xul
at news.mozilla.org. The "Sending messages" progress window pops up and 
immediately after the following error alert: Title "Send Message Error",
Text "Sending of message failed. Please verify that your Mail & Newsgroup 
account settings are correct and try again."
Well I verified and everything seems to be OK. The message provides zero
information as to *what* went wrong. The message should show the reply
from the news server so that the user can find out what is wrong and if
this is a problem of the settings or the server.

Confirming on build 2002072508.

I can reproduce this problem on a regular basis using nightly build 2002072508
running on Linux (SuSE 8.0).  The problem normally occurs when I am responding
to an existing newsgroup message.  It occasionally occurs when I am posting a
new newsgroup message.

When I try to respond to an existing newsgroup message, this error occurs so
regularly that I often have to use NS6.2 to respond to a newsgroup message.

I have never experienced this problem using Mozilla on Windows 2000.  The
problem seems to be limited to running Mozilla on Linux.

Related to bug 137009 and bug 150823.  The symptoms of all three bugs are very
similar.  Perhaps all three should be consolidated into one bug.
