Steps to reproduce:

Opened any Google Spreadsheet; config is 67.0.2 (64-bit), Windows 10 Enterprise Build 17763, NVIDIA GeForce 1060 3GB.

Actual results:

Text missing (see image).

Expected results:

Cannot reproduce on any other browser on the same machine, or any other Firefox installation on other machines.

Other notes:

• The text seems to appear when I edit the field, then disappear again when the cell loses focus.
• In the case of underlined text (e.g. links), the underline is visible, but the text isn't.
• The whole Firefox font rendering has become quite gross with the last update (see the "All changes saved" text on the screenshot); fonts are slightly blurry and wrongly smoothed, but sharpen up somewhat when the window is resized.

The following changes to about:config seems to be related to the problem. When I changed the config like the following, I could also reproduce the problem.

gfx.canvas.azure.backends: direct2d1.1,cairo,skia
gfx.content.azure.backends: direct2d1.1,cairo,skia

Gargaj, can you reset the above configs from about:config? Priority between cairo and skia is reverted from default setting.

Thanks, that seems to have helped - I'm not sure why that setting ended up like that, I don't remember changing it, however it's been an installation that's been updating for 3 years now.

I reproduced the issue using STR from comment 0 and comment 4 using Firefox 69.0a1 (20190617214029) on Windows 10x64.
The issue is verified fixed with Firefox 69.0b8 (20190723212625) on Windows 10x64, macOS 10.14 and Ubuntu 18.04.
