+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1590754 +++

Steps To Reproduce:
click search icon in front of the megabar

Actual Results:
"? " is pre-filled

Expected Results:
"@Google " should be pre-filled and Highlighted.
It is similar to click a icon[a with magnifying glass] in NewTab Page Top Site.

The idea is to rather convert the lens to a solid area with the [Engine] mode, that will pretty much be the same, but without he ugly "@google" text.

This will likely be duped to a proper bug once we have the final design. Until then it's mostly a wontfix.

@google disables one-off search buttons, ? doesn't, which is why we're using the latter for the time being. It more closely matches the search bar.

"? " is also ugly and not noticeable. I missed it in str of Bug 1590754.
The stand alone Search Bar does not have "? ".

Hi, I think that this bug is no longer valid in the face of the latest changes on the browser. If I'm mistaken, please reopen it.

AFAICT this is invalid now that we have search mode, or just wontfix since I don't think we have plans to enable the search button.
