From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1a) Gecko/20020610 BuildID: 2002061014 when dragging a folder containg bookmarks from the finder into mozilla bookmark manager, or a foldrer containing bookmarks from the bookmark manager on to the finder, unexpected results occour. Spicifically - dragging a folder to the finder. Instead a folder apparing in the finder containg bookmarks. A text clipping appears. Spacifically - dragging folders containg bookmarks into the book mark manager in mozzila, seems to have absolutly no effect. Although it is possible perform such operations using another browser such as ie and then use this book mark file with mozilla. I would expect this kind of drag and drop functonality. PS the tabs are really good - will mozilla be the next web browser to support even more radical data presentation - I look forward to seeing amzing and inovative features. If you need ideas, please do not hesitate to let me know. henri@infovision.co.nz Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open mozzila 2.open bookmark manager 3.drag a folder containg bookmarks to desktop Actual Results: a clipping file was generated on the desktop so it looks like drag'n drop featurs have been enabled - however mozzila is not aware that I have draged a folder to the desktop - or if it is It is unsure of what to do Expected Results: generated the directory structure of the folder being draged including bookmarks and folders it would be good to have key combinations to open new windows behind - like command shift clik in IE and also to open a new tab behind - ie not jump into that tab.

Adding qawanted. Let's make sure this isn't a dup.

Confirmed using FizzillaMach/2003021203. For example, dragging a bookmarks folder resulted in a text clipping file named, "NC:BookmarksRoot#$4972C943", and containing only that text as well.

Still around in FF 1.5. Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 It would be really fantastic if dragging those folders created a file which, when opened, actually loaded all of the URLs that were in the folder. Having a few of these on my desktop (and a quick way to save them directly, from the Bookmark All Tabs dialog) would make my life absolutely wonderful.

With SM 2.0.1 under Windows XP this action results in a "not enough memory" error dialog.
