Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
When pressing Ctrl-M (Or choosing File-New-Message) the keyboard focus is first
moved to the body of the mail and then up to the address-field (To:).
This is rather anoying if you are used to pressing Ctrl-M and then start typing
the e-mail address you end up with the first characters of the address inside
the body of the mail.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press Ctrl-M
2. Watch the cursor move from the body of the mail and then up to the address-bar
Actual Results:
The cursor is in the right position but if you are fast in your typing the
address you type is broken since the first part is inside the body of the mail.
Expected Results:
Put keyboard focus directly in the addressing-field (To:)
Umm, this is the same as Bug 166121. I just posted a comment there, but it would
have been better off here.

Fredrik Aminoff: are you seeing this problem with a current build? I just
checked in 1.3 Final and a recent 1.4b build.

I'm still seeing this with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425
But that build might not have the fix. It is the latest 1.3.1beta available.

I would think that if the fix is in 1.3 Final, it would also be in 1.3.1.
I tried again with 1.3 Final on a slow Win98 machine, started typing as soon as
the window frame rendered, and the text went to the To: field, not to the body.

Note there is a fix for bug 201996 which might be related to this; that would be
in 1.4b builds from 0512 onwards.

Fredrik Aminoff, now that 1.4 Final is released, please comment on whether this
bug still exists for you in that build.

I am still seeing this bug on 1.4:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Running windows XP and modern theme on a Thinkpad with 300MHz PII and 228MB ram.
It is harder to reproduce more than one time. If I start mozilla and then press
Ctrl-M I can get the first characters to appear inside the body. Once the first
compose-window is cached it is much more difficult to reproduce. After a restart
of Mozilla I can see the bug again on first Compose-window.

I'm seeing this bug in Mozilla 1.5.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20030925
