It should be possible to check more than one OS and Hardware platform.
It should be possible to check more than one Component since a bug may be
related to more than one Component.
E.g. a bug regarding image loading might related to image blocking and caching.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
> It should be possible to check more than one OS and Hardware platform.
This part is bug 9468; removing from summary
Summary: Checking multiple OS, Hardware and Component should be possible. → Checking multiple Component should be possible.
9468 will be fixed by custom fields. Multiple components would be a seriously
big change - I very much doubt that will happen.

If a bug seems to belong to several components, this means the bug has different issues which should be fixed separately, each having its own bug filed in its respective component. Then the initial bug should be marked as depending on these bugs. As said in comments 2 and 4, we won't go into this direction.

Note that you can use a custom multi-select field to implement this, if you really need to.
Is there a way to direct the "custom multi-select field" to work with the available components only - for entering and searching?
