Steps to reproduce:
- Double-click on a message to open it in a message tab, especially a message that you haven't read during this session.
- Press Ctrl++ or Ctrl+- - nothing happens.
- Select menu item View-Zoom-Zoom In or View-Zoom-Zoom Out.
- Repeat step 2 - it now works.
Expected results:
I find this to be a Disability Access issue because I've been depending heavily on zooming while waiting to have a vision problem corrected, and it's much quicker to do this from the keyboard.

Works for me on Windows 115.2.0 and Mac current beta.
Are you on the new 115.2.0?

Barry, does this not work for you on 115.3.2? This bug may be specific to Manjaro XFCE. Thank you for reporting and testing!

Marking as duplicate of bug 1853442. The comment I just added there describes the issues in more detail.

Sorry for getting back to you so late on this. I can confirm that this is still happening in 115.8.0 (64-bit), in keeping with what has been reported in the report for the bug, 1853442, that this bug has been marked as a duplicate of.
