1860444 - Email marked as unread - right click mark as junk - email gets put in junk as read

TB version beta 119.0b6
Imap gmail account

• Account Settings > Junk Settings

• Select 'Move new junk messages to'

• Select 'Other' and choose 'Spam on gmail account'

• In Settings - global Junk Preferences

• Select 'When I mark messages as junk'

• select 'move them to the accoutns junk folder

• DO NOT select - leave unchecked -'Mark messages determined to be junk as read'.

I do not want any junk email marked as read.

Email in 'Inbox' is marked as 'Unread' - it has bold font and green unread icon displays.
Do not select email so it does not display in Message Pane.
right click on unread email and select 'Mark > As Junk'

Actual Results:

• Email gets marked as Junk
• Email gets moved to 'Spam' folder
• Email has auto been marked as read. Font is normal not bold. green icon disabled.

Expected:

• Email gets marked as Junk
• Email gets moved to 'Spam' folder
• Email is still marked as unread - it has bold font and green unread icon displays

Email should not have been marked as read.

In addition - not sure whether this should be reported as a separate bug or whether it's connected to this one.
Following on from comment above.

• Select Spam folder
• Do not select any email so nothing is opened - does not display in Message Pane.
• right click on unread email and select 'Mark > As Not Junk'

Actual Results:
Email marked as 'Not Junk' is moved to 'Inbox'
First email in 'Spam' folder is auto selected and auto opened and auto marked as read (although expected because it has opened).

Expected Results
Email marked as Not Junk is moved to Inbox
As this is the 'Spam' folder - No email is auto selected - No email is auto opened therefore no email is auto marked as read.

There is another preference (mailnews.ui.junk.manualMarkAsJunkMarksRead) that controls the read status when a message is manually marked as junk, see here. Unfortunately, it is not yet exposed in the UI, even though SeaMonkey fixed this years ago in bug 377920.
